Vietnam’s fruit and vegetable exports in June reached an estimated $807 million, marking a significant growth of nearly 31% compared to the previous month and over 20% year-on-year, according to Vietnam Customs.

This signals a strong recovery after fruit and vegetable exports experienced a decline for five months in a row. The growth was mainly driven by the export of durian – a key product.

The June export revenue brings the total fruit and vegetable export value in the first half of the year to $3.1 billion, down 7% compared to the same period last year.

China remained the biggest importer, accounting for 48.2%. It was followed by the US and the Republic of Korea, accounting for 9% and 5.7%, respectively.
